Bowling

This is documentation that at least once in his life we did an activity that Ollie picked.
While Craig is on a research trip we headed to the grandparents house for a few days. We took my whole family to bowl! Next time we should stop at one game. 10 frames is my kids attention span.
I tried to play up cheering others on to keep my kids attention on the game and not running around the building on slippery floors. Ollie and Clara got into it. Especially the high-fiving after their turns.
I included the scores from both games for the kids.
I'm not sure how the adults did but more than likely Mom kicked our butts. I know I never broke 100. So who really cares, right?

Boredom Buster

We may have been going slightly crazy this day. Clara did not want her picture taken.

Veterinarian

Ollie was helping a cow on his 'dairy farm'.

Snow

Our snow hasn't accumulated to much but has been spread out and caused a lot of snow days from preschool. When the city school is closed so is our preschool. One thing we have learned is it doesn't take much to close school. At first we thought this town was being too cautious but we had forgotten about the hills and all the hills that do not get plowed or salted in town. (Que memory of our house hunt before we moved and noticing signs in neighborhoods stating they did not salt the road. I had the forethought to completely dismiss any house there.) Cautious is good.
We have been stuck inside and finding new forms of entertainment. Also, forms of entertainment outside in the snow. Ollie is slowly learning that gloves are best left on.

Bedtime story

DIY bean pit

We used a fantastic idea from our Sister-in-law, Susan, and built our kids a giant sensory pit filled with beans for Christmas.
PVC pipe, a queen sized sheet, beans, and trucks.
Christmas morning was spent in the pit with a new garbage truck to play with.

Christmas donkey

Our friend Geoffrey had a baby donkey born on Christmas. Not literally had a donkey, you know what I mean. We were up north and had to visit the two day old donkey. We took my sister's kids, Colin more excited than Caroline. Baby Dasher was adorable and soft.
