Adorable

Clearly I have nothing better to do with my time than
to dress up this little girl and take her picture.
Maybe I need a hobby or something...
oh wait, I do, but I don't have time to do it.
Priorities.
But she's just so stinking cute!
Even with a ridiculously sized flower with sequins on her head.
Someone's gotta be girly, right?

Neighborly

Our next door neighbor hosted a baby shower for our neighborhood
and a few honorary members.
Craig and the boys joined us as well.
We have the sweetest neighbors, always willing to help us out with the boys.
We are very grateful!
There was some very delicious food.
Fruit
Sausage rolls
Vegetable casserole
Donut holes
Little cupcakes with fruit on top.
Ollie took about 4 of these and ate only the fruit on top.
Here are two of the ladies that hosted the shower.
Our next door neighbor, Judy and her mother-in-law, Carmel.
Judy is holding our other next door neighbor, Mary Gresham.
Mary Gresham and Clara will soon be best buds, they are one month apart!
More neighbors.
Landon loves these girls!
Here's my very good friend and honorary member to the neighborhood, Carmen.
Carmel LOVES to hold a baby!
She always wanted to hold Ollie when we first moved here.
Most of you know how solid Ollie is and she loved to tote him around,
I'm not sure how she did that!
Clara got some cute outfits, books, and a name puzzle.
And of course partying is hard work so afterward she passed out.

Big Brother

Ollie is taking his role of big brother seriously.

Clara

Holidays in Ohio

What do you get when you stuff
3-kids
2-adults
1-50lb dog
4-suitcases
and Christmas presents
in a camry?
The realization that said camry is no longer suitable for 14 hour drives.
Cole was showing his displeasure for his seat arrangements for the drive by sitting in Landon's lap.
He did move and slept in the floor of the car, disgruntled only, I'd say, half the time.
The drive went the best it ever has, surprisingly. You wouldn't think you could make record time on a 14 hour drive with a 2 month old in tow, but somehow we managed.

The first few days were spent at my parents house.
One day we toured the fire station where my brother in law is a fireman.
My niece, Emma, was tour guide.
Landon got to go on a four wheeler ride with my Dad.
Here is Landon modeling his riding outfit.
He calls this look Blue Steel.
We visited with family

and took naps on Pap
Then we switched to Craig's parents house
full of tractor rides

 Ollie riding with Uncle Joel
Ollie driving the kids four wheeler
We drove to Craig's sister's house and got to play in the snow
Landon had been dreaming of having a snowball fight on our trip to Ohio.
The whole gang at the Grimes house
(minus Clara)
Craig led the kids through animal stretches one night also.
Downward dog
We had a great time for the Holidays

Pictures you won't see included...
-the look on our faces when we realized practically NO restaurants were open Christmas evening as we were one hour into a 14 hour drive
-our $60 Christmas feast at the Iron Skillet truck stop restaurant
(feast was actually served on an iron skillet)
-our horror when Ollie puked in the car. twice.
(The first time ironically was in rush hour traffic while Craig was talking on the phone to his college roommate. His roommate had called to tell us his wife was pregnant with their first child.
Welcome to Parenthood!)
-Craig chucking a vomit infused car seat into the dumpster behind a Buffalo Wild Wings
-Ollie getting a bath in a Walmart sink

Twas the Night Before Christmas...

about as good as it gets the night before Christmas
excitement for Santa and our trip to Ohio
Ollie let us sleep in until 7:30.

{I got to looking at these pictures and it looks like our tree is bare with no ornaments...
there were ornaments...on the top 2/3...plus a few toys the kids chucked into the tree}

We have a what?

A 4 year old!?
Seriously, how did that happen?
Landon turned 4 right before Christmas.
We threw a friends party and a family party.
This years theme was Dinosaurs!
He was quite tired before the friend party started.
He about passed out sitting in the high chair guarding his cake.
We were so glad a lot of his friends were still in town
to help him celebrate. 6 families joined us,
making 28 warm bodies in this crowded house.
The house was littered with toys.
A shovel was needed to make a path to get from the
front of the house to the back. No joke!
He was equally as excited for his family party!
We are glad to be able to spend that time with family
and allow Landon to share that with his cousins.
Thanks for helping us celebrate Landon's 4th Birthday!
