A bad omen?

If you believe in those kinds of things, I'm really leaning towards it being true of our impending move.
First, I hit a Momma Duck and her 10 little ducklings on the road in front of our hometown's restaurant while driving to the airport to get Craig to look at houses in the new town.
Second,  The crew we hired to clean our house couldn't complete the job because the a/c unit wouldn't turn on. Only a problem because of this heat sweeping the nation. The crew is set to come back on Tuesday, but read on for the problem with this plan...
Third, A severe storm ripped through Ohio and caused the city we are moving to, to be without power. We're talking 63% of the city without power. The electric company website says power may not be restored until Friday. 6 days from now. 3 days after we had planned on moving in. Our realtor said it would be wise to delay our arrival.

 Best case scenario. House has power. Cleaning crew cleans house on Tuesday. We move in.

Worst case scenario. House has no power. House doesn't get cleaned. We move our stuff in and go on to our parents house 3 hours away.

*We don't know if the house we are moving into has power or not but I'm pretty sure luck is not on our side.
